Synopsis

In a remote, desert village the well is at the top of a treacherous mountain path, and the job of collecting the water is up to the women. After one fall and one miscarriage too many, young newly-wed Leila suggests going on a love strike, arguing that refusal to grant sexual favours is the only power the women truly have over their men.
