Synopsis
Miami in the '70s and '80s is a pot smoker’s paradise, with countless tons of marijuana being smuggled into the region through three key channels: The Black Tuna Gang, the ganja-worshipping Coptic Church, and the residents of Everglades City. These notorious smuggling rings are eventually brought down by the White House, leading to fierce showdowns with the cops and hundreds of arrests. The Godfathers of Ganja is a fascinating and often hilarious portrait of the rise and fall of Miami’s stoner culture, and the endlessly entertaining “godfathers” who drove it forward.
