synopsis

35 Shots of Rum is the story of a father and daughter living in a working class Parisian neighborhood. The daughter, Josephine, a university student; is on the verge of leaving the family nest and making her own way in the world. She feels obliged to stay and take care of her father, Lionel, filling the role her mother used to have. Lionel feels responsible for needing her so much, yet helpless to let her go.
